Clean Memphis is a nonprofit organization founded in 2008 by a group of concerned citizens. Our goal is to make Memphis cleaner, greener, and more environmentally sustainable.
Community Engagement
Using our “Zones Strategy” to help community members organize routine cleanup projects and address blighted properties in their own neighborhoods.
Environmental Education
Offering a comprehensive environmental education program tied to state and Common Core standards for all schools in Shelby County.
Project Green Fork
Operating a grassroots sustainability certification program that assists local business owners in the service industry in reducing environmental impact.
High-Profile Sweeps
Performing an average of 6 weekly “sweeps” in important economic development areas of the city to remove litter and debris from roads and streetscapes year-round.
